ENTRY LEVEL SALARY: $29,825-- FULL-TIME

OFFICE LOCATION: DOVER – work assignment varies within Delaware

OPENING DATE: 02/20/19

CLOSING DATE: 03/10/2019

This non-State position is required to paint the interior and exterior of buildings for new construction, touch ups, renovation projects, finish, and prep work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

Required
1. Two years of painting experience

2. Must perform good quality work

Preferred:

  •  Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements

  •  5 years of painting experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

As a Painter, work takes place during all seasons and in all weather. Your daily duties will require access within all areas of the site which would require the use of ladders and/or lifts as well as traversing irregular surfaces with obstacles. Working with equipment and preparing work areas may involve heavy lifting, overhead work and strenuous activity. It is anticipated that an extensive amount of this work will require work from height so experience and a comfort level with heights.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CURRENT AND VALID DELAWARE DRIVER'S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Paint exterior and interior of buildings along with ancillary building systems (i.e. conduit, sprinkler piping, etc.) as required.

  • Responsibilities includes drywall finishing, sanding, scraping, taping, clean up, caulking, and minor general construction tasks as required.
