The "Refinement of Income and Rent Determination Requirements in Public and Assisted Housing Programs" Final Rule that was published in the Federal Register on March 27, 2009 (74 FR 13339) makes the use of Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) for Multifamily mandatory, effective September 30, 2009. This session will provide guidance to owners and management agents on using the data in EIV for verifying employment and income of individuals participating in the Section 8 Multifamily Housing programs. The session will also discuss policies and procedures in obtaining, handling, and maintain any information obtained from EIV.
